The Larimer County Rodeo Board Announces the Cancellation of the 2020 Larimer County Fair Rodeo
(Loveland, CO) – The Larimer County Rodeo Board has announced the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Larimer County Fair PRCA Rodeo. Originally set for August 2-4, 2020, the event was to take place at The Ranch during the Larimer County Fair. The Rodeo Board believes this is the first time in the Larimer County Fair PRCA Rodeo history that the event has been canceled.
The annual rodeo boasts a variety of features including Hall of Fame Stock Contractor - Beutler and Son Rodeo Company, world-class bullfighters, a 4-H showcase, crowning of the Larimer County Fair Rodeo Queen and the ever-popular rodeo clowns.
The decision follows the recommendation of state and local health organizations and focuses on the safety of rodeo patrons, competitors, staff, and vendors. Also canceled are the commercial aspects of the Larimer County Fair including the carnival, fair vendors, food booths, entertainment, Fair Parade, and pancake breakfast. The fair will still feature 4-H competitions, livestock auctions, and virtual components.
The Larimer County Fair and Rodeo has been a staple of Northern Colorado since 1912 and draws over 65,000 guests each year. The fair is known for its world-class entertainment, PRCA Rodeo, 4-H and Open Class competitions and showings, mouth-watering fair food, and the ever-growing Carnival Americana.
