Larimer County’s “The Ranch Events Complex” Announces Major Land Expansion
Loveland, CO — The Ranch Events Complex is proud to announce a significant milestone in its ongoing mission to serve Larimer County as a premier destination.
On December 17, 2024, Larimer County finalized the purchase of more than 70 acres of land directly north of The Ranch, representing a pivotal step in the complex’s commitment to responsible growth, innovation, and community collaboration.
“This expansion is a game-changer for The Ranch and the community we serve,” said Conor McGrath, Managing Director of The Ranch Events Complex. “With this additional land, we can better guide the future of the spaces adjacent to our campus, explore exciting possibilities, and enhance our capacity to host diverse events. It’s an exciting moment for all of us, and we look forward to partnering with the community to shape what comes next.”
Key benefits of the new land acquisition include:
- Community-Driven Planning: Engaging residents and local organizations to ensure new developments reflect community values.
- Stewardship of Adjacent Activities: Providing leadership in how neighboring spaces evolve, supporting The Ranch’s commitment to the county’s goals.
- Opportunities to Innovate: Creating room for new ideas and enabling more significant and varied events for residents and visitors.
- Increased Event Capacity: Expanding the ability to accommodate broader gatherings and offer greater flexibility for event planners and, thus, eventgoers.
- Enhanced Community Engagement: Developing programs and spaces that build stronger connections with the local community.
- Future Growth Potential: Positioning The Ranch for long-term success and sustainability.
In line with its strategic vision, The Ranch continues working toward becoming self-sustainable by 2030, with the goal of sunsetting the sales and use tax by 2039. Acquiring this land is a key component in realizing that vision, and The Ranch will actively involve the public in planning how the expanded campus will be used.
Initial planning discussions will begin in January, following the annual all-staff meeting. “We’re eager to hear from our team and the public,” McGrath added. “Together, we’ll shape the future of The Ranch and continue building a resource that serves Larimer County for generations to come.”
The Ranch would like the public’s feedback. Community members are encouraged to fill out the survey located at this link: The Ranch Survey.
