Back-to-Back NCAA Post Season Hockey coming to BLUE ARENA!

(Loveland, CO) - Blue Arena at The Ranch and The University of Denver Athletics Department proudly announce that the 2027 NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Regional Hockey Tournament will be held in Loveland, CO.
"It is a distinct honor any time your institution is awarded the hosting of a national championship event," Vice Chancellor for Athletics and Ritchie Center Operations Josh Berlo said. "I want to thank our partners at the United Center, the Chicago Sports Commission and Blue Arena in Loveland for playing such a meaningful and supportive role in the bid process. We are excited about the opportunity to bring two more NCAA Regional events to our fans in Colorado, and for the opportunity to showcase our University to the country at the 2028 NCAA Frozen Four in Chicago, home to many of our alumni and host of our eighth hockey national championship in 2017."
“This decision marks a significant achievement for our community. The NCAA received over 1,200 bids from venues across 47 states and Washington, D.C., all competing to host predetermined rounds for 87 of the NCAA’s 90 championships. Conor McGrath, the Director of The Ranch Events Complex stated. “Our successful bid for the 2027 Division I Men's Ice Hockey Regionals is a testament to the quality of our facility and the strong partnership we have built to support premier sporting events. The selection of Blue Arena at The Ranch is a testament to our facility's quality, ease of access, and strong partnership to support premier sporting events. This event will undoubtedly bring national attention to our area and further showcase our community's capabilities as a host for high-profile competitions.”

About Blue Arena The OVG managed Blue Arena at The Ranch Events Complex, located in Loveland, Colorado, is a 6,800 seat multi-purpose venue, which opened in September 2003, and is home to the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League.
